Two Types Of Dialysis Treatments
Two types of dialysis treatments are hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.
Hemodialysis is the constant treatment 3 to 5 times a week of purifying the blood with the access port in the arm.
Peritoneal dialysis is constant daily treatment that accumulates toxins and dissolved substances from the blood by cleaning the empty area in the peritoneal cavity (abdomen) with the access port in the abdomen.
